Along with other new features, the Zhiyun-Tech WEEBILL-S has a more compact form factor and retains the underslung mode design of its predecessor, the WEEBILL LAB. Better handling in all other modes and effortless transitioning to underslung mode are made possible by the handle located on the back of the sling mode design. Upgraded motors and the stabilization algorithm are two further enhancements. 50% better responsiveness and 300% more motor torque are attributes of the WEEBILL-S. As a result, you may more effectively balance camera/lens combinations, such the Canon 5D Mark IV with 24-70mm zoom lens.
The Trans Mount Image Transmission Module, a small device that can be neatly mounted beneath the WEEBILL-S’s fast release plate and supports wireless streaming of up to 1080p30 resolution at distances of up to 328′, is being introduced as an optional accessory along with the WEEBILL-S. With matching receiver modules, up to three devices—including phones, tablets, and even professional monitors—can be synchronized.
The Zhiyun-Tech ZY Play companion software, which runs on iOS and Android, has been updated to integrate with the Image Transmission Module, enabling more effective gimbal control. With the module, an app feature named SmartFollow 2.0 enables precise object tracking right from the app. Synchronous motion control and real-time monitoring are made possible by a technology known as Sync Motion. Standard features have also been improved, such as ViaTouch 2.0, which lets you operate your camera and gimbal’s many settings and capabilities right from the screen of your smartphone. These consist of follow speed, ISO, aperture, zoom, and focus (if supported) among others. Among the creative capture features available in the Play app are Panorama, Timelapse, Motionlapse, and Long Exposure Timelapse.
There are six different ways to operate the WEEBILL-S. Among these are the 360° synchronized movement in all three dimensions possible in the Full-Range POV Mode and the 360° barrel shots achievable in the Vortex Mode. A description of each of the six modes may be found in the Features section that follows. Intelligent Auto-Tune is one of the gimbal’s additional functions; it detects your camera’s weight automatically and adjusts to give you the optimum power economy. Additionally, the WEEBILL-S now has a battery life of up to 14 hours.
Electronic focus control is possible with the WEEBILL-S when using compatible cameras. To accomplish this, use the inbuilt handwheel. For the most recent list of compatible cameras, see the Zhiyun-Tech website. Using add-on motors, the gimbal may also be used for mechanical focus and zoom control. Together with all the other TransMount accessories that the previous model was compatible with, the WEEBILL-S supports TransMount motors. One of these is the Quick Setup Adapter Set, which has gained a lot of popularity since it was introduced.
The WEEBILL-S comes with multiple accessories, including an Arca Swiss/Manfrotto dual-layer quick release plate and a storage case. Also included is a mini tripod that can be used as a stand or an extension handle. The mini tripod is also what completes the gimbal for underslung, low-mode operation. It attaches to the rear handle to function as an overhead handle.
Take note:
Since the Zhiyun-Tech 18650 batteries are somewhat shorter than the ones used by many other manufacturers, only Zhiyun-Tech 18650 batteries are suggested for use with the WEEBILL-S.

Improved Design

Trans Mount Image Transmission Module
Around the same time, the optional Trans Mount Image Transmission Module is being launched, and it is compatible with the WEEBILL-S. With this little module, which mounts beneath the gimbal’s mounting plate, you may transmit 1080p30 video up to 328 feet to matching receivers. You may stream to three devices at once as up to three receivers can be used. Some monitors, tablets, and smartphones are among the compatible gadgets.
Upgraded ZY Play App
To improve productivity, the companion ZY Play iOS/Android app has been updated to integrate with the optional Trans Mount Image Transmission Module. Via Touch 2.0 is one of the many enhanced functionalities that can now function without the Image Transmission Module.
6 Modes of Operation
Full-Range POV Mode
Enables synchronized 360° movement in all three dimensions. This guarantees that the camera will stay locked in place regardless of how far you move the gimbal in a particular direction, enabling real point-of-view pictures, rather than leveling off during motion.
Vortex Mode
Create 360° barrel shots.
Go Mode
Operate at maximum follow speed for extreme sports and similar applications.
PF Mode
The camera pans as you turn the gimbal left and right. This feature is highly useful for hyperlapse capture.
F Mode
The camera will follow the movement of the gimbal handle.
L Mode
Keep your subject in focus when you mimic dolly or jib movements
