The DJI RSC 2 can accommodate up to 6.6 lb of camera and accessory weight and is intended for use with mirrorless and DSLR cameras. Compared to this revised gimbal’s predecessor, the Ronin-SC, the RSC 2’s motors are 50% more powerful. The RSC 2’s folding design, which enables underslung mode change, is one of its primary features.

When the gimbal head folds down from the gimbal handle, you may use it underslung for low-angle pictures without having to connect or remove any components. With built-in batteries that can last up to 14 hours, the gimbal handle is still included. Additionally, while the gimbal is in use, the batteries may be charged via the handle (apart from very cold or very hot conditions). The handle may be recharged in around two hours with an 18W fast charger (not supplied), which supports PD and QC 2.0 fast-charging protocols. The gimbal’s folding form facilitates convenient transportation and storage.

Along with a 1′′ OLED black-and-white screen, the RSC 2 also boasts a horizontal dial on the front that allows you to change focus while holding the gimbal in the same hand. There is a NATO mount with M4 threads on either side of the gimbal handle that may be used to connect specialized accessories, such an aftermarket suitcase handle.

The DJI Titan stabilization algorithm, which offers superior stability and fluidity than the previous version, is used by the RSC 2. Additionally, Super Smooth is an integrated function that enhances the algorithm while using zoom lenses up to 100mm. To produce smooth motion with long lenses, Super Smooth boosts torque and makes up for micromovements.

The gimbal features two detachable fast release plates and a dual-layer Manfrotto plus Arca-Swiss camera mounting system. To capture images for social media, simply hit the button to bring your camera into portrait mode. With its associated iOS/Android app, users can access capabilities like time-lapse, panoramic, and Roll 360, which spins your camera constantly along the roll axis, among the six settings that the RSC 2 offers. Additionally, the gimbal is compatible with the optional DJI Raven Eye transmission system, which enables Active Track 3.0 subject tracking from the gimbal and remote 1080p video transmission, among other features.

The RSC 2 comes with a small tripod that screws onto a 1/4′′-20 thread on the grip handle to serve as a stand or an extension handle for two-handed gimbal control in specific situations. Additionally, there are cords for controlling some cameras and features straight from the gimbal controls.
